1. this may be too much in terms of animal references, but if we can get away with something different, I think its a must.
2. these are just some doodles to see what kind of shapes we like. i think the rib cage idea with fabric woven through it would look tight, but the only why i'd be able to sketch that is if I had an actual rib cage in front of me. if you all think thats coo, i think the rib cage should be of the same species as our antlers.

Anyways. My first impression is that these stray pretty far from what is commonly accepted by heraldic practice. the feathers and rib cage especially are just things that you would never see in a legit coat of arms.
it seemed like everyone was on board with trying to make it legit, so unless we've all changed our minds, id say we should try to keep it more traditional.
the renderng of the feathers in the top one is really nice. i just think its too far from whats accepted by the design rules.
