1. changed the style of the helmet all together. kept it black as per rita's post
2. size of the helmet and crest is slightly different (bigger) than before. espesh the crown
3. crown is gold.
4. hops and barley is different. 3 barley = rita/jess/case, 2 hops = ethan/erik, 1 hops leaf = jen. I wanted to get SOME sort of relation differencing in there. its subtle but this could be a nod to it. I've also got a few different designs that I can show.
5. lost the horns on the owl. maybe we dont need em?
I've also switched out the mantling and the motto just to get something different visually in there. Thoughts!?
OH, and Jessica... as a further response to your previous post... I found this style of mantling to look a little bit like feathers. Seems like something you were into. A design that EVOKES the feeling of feathers like this one could be rad if thats how u want it styled, but i think drawing ACTUAL feathers as the mantle might be too much.
Also Rita, never heard back from you regarding the green. I felt that it was a little bit random, as in theres no green anywhere else in the design, and typically you dont see that kinda thing in heraldry, but if you really feel strongly about it, lets talk it out!
Anyways, I'd like to get into some real drawing soon. What do you guys think?
