Siblings!
I mocked up a few of my sketches as simple color comps. Take a look.
Heres some thoughts for the color choices :
Red : quick temper and hot headedness. Boiling blood.
Black : constancy “enduring and unchanging” subtle link to stubbornness
gold : elevation of the mind
AND the little squiggles that have notes... check it out. the more i think about it, barley/hop represented in there somewhere might be a really good thing. alcohol (beer) has been a huge factor in all our lives via dad, and i think its important to show it.
Thoughts?

ReplyDeleteno reason to not start doodling ideas for outside the shield stuff. i wanna do some quick sketches to get across my idea for the whole package. but yeah, go for it.

i like the bottom right... ok this is also a thought of what i was thinking. bones or a skull..? maybe incorporate that in? i dont know what do you guys think... i also like the idea of a banner wrap with writing? is that what j is working on.. you can also have the lion in the middle over the shield.. ive seen a lot of knight shield heads over the shield with a banner wrap of the family motto
